The Wales trip was actually a work instead of a holiday trip. I went to my client's newly acquired oil refinery at Milford Haven for a SOX audit. Milford Haven is located in Pembrokeshire, in the south west of Wales.
A short introduction to Milford Haven per Wiki:
"Milford Haven (Welsh: Aberdaugleddau, meaning "mouth of the two Rivers Cleddau") is a town in Pembrokeshire, south-west Wales. It was founded as a whaling centre in the 18th century and grew into a major port. It is the largest town in Pembrokeshire, with a population of 14,000."
We stayed at a hotel at Cleddau Bridge, which is a 15 min drive away from the refinery. The journey to Milford Haven was a looooong one. I woke up at 5am to leave home at 545am to catch the 645am train from Paddington. Then it was a 2.5 hours journey to Port Talbort. Got there at 9.30am due to a 15min delay. From Port Talbort, it was another 1.5hr of drive! So it's really a looong journey to get there.

The train getting into Cardiff Central. Notice the Welsh words above the english words? All signs in Wales carry both the Welsh and English language.

Trying to do some work on the train.

Anyways, work was nothing exciting. The exciting bit is we got to go for a 3hr tour of the refinery and the jetty. And it was an experience indeed! nothing that I've seen before. The closest was probably the Senoko Power Station. But then again, I only went into the office and didn't get to do a tour of the power station. But too bad, cameras weren't allowed in the refinery as its a battery operated equipment. But my client took a picture of us all fully suited up! This will come later when he sends the photo to us.
On Thurs, we suggested to do a dinner with my client, and he very very kindly offered to drive us around for a tour of the Pembrokeshire area of Wales! It was a really good tour because the weather was simply amazing during the 2 days I was there! The taxi driver who drove me to the refinery said it had been raining for the last 3 weeks! and it was heavy rain on mon-tues as well. but somehow, when I got there on wed, it dried up in the afternoon and it was dry throughout thurs and fri! haha.. i was really wondering if I brought the sun to Wales!

I think coast of Wales is so beautiful as well. At least this place is not as touristy as Northern Ireland. Its very obvious its not as touristy because the road is not even well developed! The road along the coast consists of a single lane! Whenever a car approaches from the opposite direction, someone needs to give way for the other car to pass.

Me at the Barafundle Bay. That's the beach below.

Another bay, which I forgot the name. You can see that the beach is free of footprints! A totally undisturbed and natural beach.

After the tour, we had dinner at a very nice fish restaurant in the town of Tenby. A lovely dinner to finish off the wonderful day spent!
On Fri, I spent bout 2.5 hours touring Cardiff before I went back to London.

There was nothing much in Cardiff. I took a walk from the station to the High Street where I deposited my luggage at the tourist info centre. Then I made my way to the Cardiff Castle to take some photos before going to the National Museum to take a look at some of the Renoir and Monet paintings they have there.

After that, looking at the map i had, I thought the Cardiff Bay looks pretty nice and cool. So I took a bus to the Cardiff Bay thinking that there will be a nice nice beach promenade with restaurants, shops and a Boardwalk to walk along. But to my utter disappointment, there was nothing there! except lots of residential housing and a port! :( Haiz, I should have checked with the tourist info pple before assuming that all city bays are nice beach promenades.
