Mum and bro here for a visit! :)

Yay! Yesterday morning, my mum and bro arrived at London for a 2-weeks visit.

Planned so much for them to go and do.. and next week going to Barcelona for 4 days with them.
Hope for good weather! :)

Freezing cold...

It's turning so colddd already. That night, I wore 4 tops to bed. One long sleeve t-shirt, one t-shirt and 2 sweaters! My record... haha..

Belgium trip - Brussels and Brugge (Part 4)

The final part to my Belgium trip.


A visit to the chocolate museum - eh, only victoria went in though. We didn't wanna pay! hee...


We chanced upon this beautiful lake and house after walking around Nuns and Daffodils - a UNESCO World Heritage site. As usual, we spent quite some time taking photos here. :)





I like the stillness of the lake. You can see the reflections of the building and trees quite clearly.


My buys from the trip - Some fruit flavoured beers and 3 boxes of chocolates (only 2 pictured here because the 3rd was a simple box without packaging) - 1 was a gift to a colleague who went home to Msia for good.

Overall, this had been a good trip. Relaxing, and tiring at the same time. Relaxing from the slow pace, the companionship of friends and good food which we had. Tiring from all the walking. If you had seen my pictures clearly, you may note that we have our bags with us all the time. Yes! we carried our haversack with us everywhere we go! Because we checked in to the hostel late on sat evening, and left super early on sun morning!

A small glitch of the trip was the hostel which we stayed at. Due to some weird technical fault (which we totally could not understand why it would have happened!), 4 of us slept in 2 different rooms. And our rooms had other people in the room too. And we have to dash through a smoke-infested dining area in order to get to the shower area. Luckily we're there for just 1 night! What to do? We want cheap accoms! haha..

Belgium trip - Brussels and Brugge (Part 3)

On Sat afternoon after the visit to Atomium, we made our way to Bruges by train.

Bruges is a medieval town, with its Gothic constructions unchanged from centuries ago.

The buildings and canals look good. But the canalboat was quite a disappointment too. Lacks the grandeur of the Venice gondolas, and the comfort of the Amsterdam canal boats.

Belgium trip - Brussels and Brugge (Part 2)

Too many photos. I need to split into a few posts coz I suspect it wasn't able to get through coz I got several error messages as I was posting the previous one!


Any idea who is Manneken-Pis?


It's this little boy here. The most famous boy of Belgium! Initially i thought its a big big fountain kind of thing. In the end, it's just a small little fountain in the corner of a street. Quite disappointing i must say.


We had lunch at this mussels place at Rue de Bouchers, specially recommended by huili's sis. Not too bad a place. Although the waiters were very eager to get us to finish our lunch fast and clear the restaurant so that they can get more customers!


Shopping at Galeries St Hubert. Well, we didn't really shop. It's a long, long corridor kind of shopping area.


At the Cathedral of Saints Michel and Gudule - with a little yellow waffles van in the background. Waffles are everywhere!


Visit to the Atomium - 1 of the newest addition to Brussels. You see the gigantic spheres? We can actually go up there and it's like a viewing gallery kind of thing. But it costs €9! so we gave it a miss.


And we discovered this place behind Atomium that has beautiful autumn leaves and a lake. And we spent so much time there to take photos. We were trying all kinds of modes and functions to capture the most beautiful of the leaves. But seems like not too nice on photos :(

This is a tree which I like very much. The colours are all so nice. Haha, I seem to take alot of photos of trees! Of trees in Autumn. Where the leaves change colour and drop...

Belgium trip - Brussels and Brugge (Part 1)

Over the last last weekend, I went to Belgium with huili, victoria and jianyi.


Me and victoria with the Eurostar. We were one of the last few to catch Eurostar from Waterloo. For your info, Eurostar is going to shift to the new £800mil St Pancras station with effect from tomorrow!

At a shop that sells ALOT of different kinds of beer. Oh, Belgium is famous for severals things - beer, chocolates, waffles and mussels. And we had all 4!! haha..

Taiwan 偶像剧

天啊! 我正沉迷于台湾偶像据！

Ever since Priscilla told me bout this new 偶像剧 called <<公主小妹>>, I have been watching it all night long. and even influenced my dear house mate to be addicted too! haha..

吴尊 is simply 太帅了! It's a really funny and typical kind of 偶像剧. Super 夸张 like nobody's business.

and I'm also loving 杰伦's new songs and mtvs! hey ah teh, I don't mean to copy your blog. haha.. i know you also talked bout 偶像剧 and jay chou. hee.. Its just that we simply have the same great taste. haha.. Maybe when I finish the 公主小妹, I'll watch <<换换爱>> too!

hmm actually thought of posting the youtube mtv link here. But on second thought, betta don't. Else I may run the risk of being caught for copyrights issue!!

As for my Belgium photos, still need to wait for some time because I haven't had all my photos together yet.

Man Utd vs Middlesbrough 27 Oct 2007

Finally set foot on Old Trafford on 27 Oct 2007 to catch my beloved Manchester United vs Middlesbrouogh. It was indeed an exciting match, with Man Utd winning 4-1 at home :)

It had been a very good experience! and i'm so happy that Man Utd won! I'll definitely be back for more matches :)

Belgium this weekend!

Tomorrow catching the first tube to Waterloo to catch Eurostar to Brussels! My first time on Eurostar :)

Very tired now.. shall go and zzz soon.. jialat, still haven't had time to post the photos and experience of last sat's visit to Old Trafford for match. Shall do it next week!!

Yeah I've booked my air tix home for Apr 2008!

Touching down on 24 Apr Thurs at 6pm and leaving for London on 5 May 9am..
