France trip - Provence
After Chamonix and Riviera, we moved on to Provence, where we visited Aix-en-Provence, Nimes, Avignon, Pont du Gard, Gordes and Arles. We stayed at a very nice hotel in the outskirts of Nimes. My favourite hotel for this trip.. It's situated kind of like no-where.. and for 3 times on our way back to the hotel, we either got lost or missed turns.. haha.. that's how bad it is. Provence is very beautiful. The countryside is made up of vineyards and fruit orchards.. There are supposed to be lavender farms too. But too bad, by the time we arrived, the lavender had already been harvested and we didn't manage to see any :(
Fountain at Avignon
A photo of a leaf in another fountain.. i thought it was quite artistic! hee..
At the Nimes Arena - a Roman amphitheatre something like the Rome Colosseum where they used to hold bull fights
Me and James at the lavender museum - too bad no lavender farms to visit :(
The beautiful, old stone city of Gordes
View of the bare lands from Gordes since lavender had been harvested
The Popes' Palace of Avignon

At Arles - We happened to see a procession.. not sure of the purpose though.. the 2 boys look very cute in their outfit!
