Italy trip - Rome (part 2 of 2)

The second half of Rome trip, we went to places such as the Spanish Steps, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, Tiberina island, Mercati Traianei and Santa Maria Maggiore.

At the Spanish Steps

This got its name because of the Spanish Embassy next to it.

At the Ferrari shop!

I was so excited when I saw the Ferrari shop! Think Kimi Raikkonen! hee.. so we happily went in and spent i think close to 45min trying on Tues, and deciding to spend that € on polo t-shirts and other souvenirs. All 3 of us bought something in the end. Amounting to a total of €175.

Anyways, i had quite abit of disappointment on 5 May when I was shopping around at the new Changi Airpot T3. Coz never did i expect that I'll see a Ferrari shop in Singapore!! Argh.... Luckily they were not selling the visor which i bought for €25!

The Pantheon

The great columns of the Pantheon - another example of the magnificence of the Roman architecture

Enjoying gelato at the most popular gelato restaurant in Rome

This is the one!

Having a drink at a cafe at Piazza Navona and people watching

The other fountain at Piazza Navona

Tiber Island - an island in the middle of Tiber River in Rome

Leaving Tiber island

At the Monumento Nazionale a Vittorio Emanuele II

View from the top of the monument, with the Colosseum in the far background.

Last lunch at our favourite restaurant - pizzas this time! But i still prefer the spaghetti at the restaurant.

Inside the Mercati Traianei

Overall, this had been a good and safe trip, with good food. Roman architecture is simply fantastic, a show of their greatness.

Singapore update is up next! :)
