Spain trip part 4 - Palma

We arrived at Palma in the late afternoon. Palma is the capital city of the Majorca island.

Getting off the plane at the San Joan International Airport.

Standing at the Contemporary art museum

Small streets of Palma.

Cathedral of Palma, an impressive Gothic style building built over a 300-year period during 14th to 17th century. Seems like buildings in Spain all take quite long to be built. haha..

Fountain at the foot of the cathedral. I like this fountain very much. very impressive and grand.

More of the Cathedral.

Cathedral on the right, and the Almudaina Palace on the left.

We decided to take a city tour bus around Palma. It proved to be a very good decison because it brought us to the Bellver Castle, somewhere that is only accessible by car :)

On the bus, approaching the Cathedral.

Reaching the Bellver Castle

View of the marina

A glimpse of the sun's rays

After taking 1 round of the city tour bus, we decided to take it again to get to Bellver Castle to take a walk at the castle.

View of Palma from the top of the hill.

Inside Bellver Castle.

I like the insides of the castle. It has got a very nice round courtyard. Quite roman style i think.

At the rooftop of the castle.

Closer view of the marina

Looking down at the courtyard from the roof top.

Sunset at Bellver Castle.

The sunset is not as beautiful because of the clouds in the far end.

Christmas lights at Palma.

After days of Spanish and international food, we longed for chinese/thai/jap food. Went to this Jap restaurant actually. Then we realised the restaurant is actually operated by Chinese and they only serve buffet food. But from the look at the food, it doesn't look for jap lor. So we asked the person if they serve any ala carte etc. And the waitress actually said "中餐, 日餐都一样的。厨师煮的东西还可以的。"

What the..... where got the same? So we decided to leave the restaurant and look for other food. And we stumbled upon this Thai restaurant. The food here was really, really good! Luckily we left that restaurant. Felt quite cheated because the exterior of the restaurant really looked super traditional jap.

Night view of the Cathedral.
