Spain trip part 5 - Seville (1)

Finally, we arrive at the final destination of the Spain trip - Seville.

For this trip, the hotel at Seville was the best! Very designer kind of room, and good toiletries. hee..

Behind the glass is the toilet and bathtub!

Taking a night stroll at Seville. On the right is the Cathedral of Seville. It's the 3rd largest church in the world after St Peter's in Rome and St Paul's in London.

A Christmas display along the streets.

The Torro del Oro, with its reflection in the still river of Guadalquivir.

On the second day at Seville, we took a day trip out to Cordoba. A UNESCO World Heritage site which contains many impressive architectural remains of the ancient times.

One thing which we noticed in Seville and Cordoba is that orange trees are EVERYWHERE! It's like the pongpong tree equivalent which we always see in SG.

Well, I cannot understand why the oranges are all growing so big and ripe, and still remain unplucked on the trees. Unable to control anymore, I decided to do the illegal act of plucking 1 orange and tasting it. It tasted..... SOUR! Duh..... no wonder its growing all over and no one plucks them to eat!

The back side of the Mezquita

Inside the courtyard of the Mezquita.

Square in Cordoba

This structure looks abit out of place among the historic buildings in Cordoba.

View of the Roman bridge from the modern structure.

View of the Mezquita.

More of the old town of Cordoba.

More of the Roman bridge. It had been closed off to the public. Quite disappointed. Thought I'll have the chance to step onto the ancient bridge.

The gate leading to Mezquita

An igloo thing just outside the train station at Cordoba. Absolutely no idea why issit there because all the words are in Spanish!

Chilling out at the fountain area while waiting to catch our train back to Seville.
