Switzerland trip part 2 - Lucerne
The 2nd day was spent exploring Mount Rigis and Lucerne. The weather in Lucerne was simply so warm that we totally couldnt stand it. Poor py actually kena pretty bad shoe marks on her feet from the sun. haha..
View of Lake Lucerne and the famous Chapel Bridge from our hotel room.
Taking the cogwheel railway up to Mount Rigi.
Mount Rigi is also know as "Queen of the Mountains"
Arrival at the top of Mount Rigi - 1,797m above sea level.
See the tower right at the top of the Mount? We walked all the way down.... in the sweltering heat!
Someone preparing to take off.
I miss para-gliding! Was planning to try again but its just too ex to do it in swiss. and this time round, I'm not gg to shut my eyes at take-off!
Exploring the Chapel Bridge and the numerous paintings on the ceiling.
The Lion Monument was built to honor the Swiss Guards.
I find this monument very, very moving. The lion looks so sad... its shown dying, resting on his shield with a broken spear in him.
The thing about the hot sun in a European city is that there is almost no where u can run to. Unlike sg, u just need to dash into a shopping centre and u are in the comfort of air-conditioning. But in Europe, the only place u can prob escape to is under a tree.
